A Proven Record of Economic Growth
Untamed Equity was created to bridge the gap between development projects and the equity needed to complete them. We know two things: 1) Municipalities need economic development, and 2) Developers want to build projects. With those ideas in mind, Untamed Equity was founded.
The idea of an Economic Development Division specializing in monetizing tax incentives (TIF) was born in 2019 within a community bank in Davenport, Iowa where Emily Blaylock was Chief Lending Officer. She refined the idea while attending the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. By the end of 2021, the Bank had TIF loans in nine states, with over $450 million funded in economic development projects.
Untamed Equity was unleashed in 2022 as a company specializing fully in tax increment financing. Emily Blaylock, President and Founder of Untamed Equity, leads our team of experts who consult on the feasibility, structure, origination, placement and service of TIF loans for developers throughout the U.S. We partner with trusted investors and financial institutions to hold the loans we originate, while we remain the point of communication for the developer as we service the loan until it is paid off. Together, our mission is to impact economic development by providing a source of gap equity to both developers and municipalities across the country.
